help RELOCATE 6 HOMESTEADING FAMILIES to haven village IN 2025
If you are passionate about resiliency and education and want to support families getting back to the land, please consider making a one-time or recurring donation to our ministry. Our goal is to raise $500,000 which will enable us to support six resilient and skilled families making a move to the Family Neighborhood at Haven Village. We have two specific intentions on how we will use these funds:
Based on Slow Money principals, we are creating a private fund of $250,000 serving as a “bridge loan” for qualified and skilled families with land looking to relocate to Haven Village. This "loan" will enable families to live at their current residence while building their healthy home here at Haven Village. They loan is repaid with the sale of their existing property and the funds are reinvested to support the next family on the list.
Witnessing the destruction in our neighboring towns, we felt we moved to find a way to help. The second $250,000 will be used to relocate a family to Haven Village who lost everything from the devastation of Hurricane Helene once the Family Village has been established and essential infrastructure including septic, well, electric and roads are in place. They will receive a fully funded home, with no repayment required to give them a fresh start..
Alana and Joseph Bliss are the first family to move to Haven Village as well as the visionaries behind the Regenerative Roots Farm & Forest School. Not only will they help manage and implement the Family Fund Development, their permaculture background will be utilized in the development of the 10-acre Family Neighborhood. Once all 12 family lots are secured in the Family Village the remaining funds will be used to build classrooms on the land.
